Florida!

Last week we were lucky enough to spend a long weekend in Destin, FL with my parents and brother John. Carson has actually been to the North Carolina beach several times, now, although I'm not sure he was really old enough to understand his surroundings. This time seemed like a whole new experience. Let's just say that the roar of the ocean is NOT relaxing for little Carson. He got used to the sand, which he enjoyed by the end of the trip, and the baby pool (which he loved!) made up for everything. He also got to spend some quality time playing ball with Uncle John, DeeDee, and Grandpa, and he tried pink lemonade and Blue Bell ice cream for the first time. (and could have drunk and eaten his body weight. Who could blame him?)

This photo sums up Carson's feelings about the beach this trip.

The baby pool is much more his speed. Not sure exactly what he's playing with here. Batman, maybe?

Here's Carson taking a break with DeeDee and one of the musical books. These were a huge hit.

Here's a cute one of most of the group at a restaurant called the Back Porch.

Carson showing off his snaggle-teeth on the lawn at the condo. Wow... this is definitely Bryan's little boy.

Happy 4th of July! I'll post some patriotic pictures soon.
